Sunny Leone after Debuting at Cannes states: Now People Can’t say ‘you’re just a porn star’

New Delhi, 25th May 2023: Sunny Leone, who is at Cannes for the release of her Anurag Kashyap-directed film Kennedy, recently stated that this is “one of the most amazing moments in my career to date.” No one, according to Sunny, can say that she is in the picture for the “glamour quotient” or “what her past was.”

While talking to Forbes India about the Midnight premiere of Kennedy on Wednesday said, “I believe that your actions are louder than your words. All those people who said you can’t do this, or you’re not good enough, or you know you are just Sunny Leone, the porn star, you are just this glamour quotient that we’ve added, all of these different comments that have gone on for so many years.”

She added, “You can’t say that this time. You can’t just say Sunny Leone is in this film because of who she is and what her past was.”

Then Sunny went on to discuss her role in the movie. Her character Charlie in Kennedy has an unusual laugh. She was asked if she had ever used laughing as a shield, the actress explained that individuals don’t always recognise they are hurting others, which is why pretentious laughter comes in useful.

She also discussed things that hurt her feelings, but as a performer, she is not allowed to express those feelings.
