Sunny Leone, Anurag Kashyap Grace the Red Carpet at Cannes for their Movie Premiere

New Delhi, 25th May 2023: Anurag Kashyap and the actors of his film Kennedy, Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone, attended the 76th Cannes Film Festival’s red carpet ahead of the film’s world premiere.

The film was shown as part of the prestigious film gala’s Midnight Screenings section at the Grand Theatre Lumiere on Wednesday.

Kashyap, a regular at Cannes, sported a black bandhgala suit. Bhat wore a conventional tuxedo, while Leone wore a pink high-slit satin gown with a train by designer Naja Saade.

Leone thanked the filmmaker on her official Instagram account for providing her with “the proudest moment of my career so far.”

Leone shared a carousel of photos and captioned it, “Thank you @anuragkashyap10 for this moment! And @itsrahulbhat for letting me share the screen with you in this amazing performance! Love you both! #kennedy @festivaldecannes @zeestudiosofficial”

In another post, Leone described the Cannes debut of Kennedy as “an amazing moment” for her and the entire team.

“…and I could not be more proud to represent Indian cinema,” she concluded.

Bhat re-shared videos from the noirish thriller’s screening on his Instagram Stories, in which the trio could be seen getting emotional after receiving a standing ovation for the film.

The premiere was also attended by Kashyap’s friend Vikramaditya Motwane, Kennedy co-producer Kabir Ahuja, and legendary filmmaker Sudhir Mishra.
