Suzlon Energy Founder Tulsi Tanti passes away due to cardiac arrest

Delhi, Oct 3rd,2022: Renowned expert of energy Tulsi Tanti, the founder and Chairman of Indian multinational wind turbine manufacturer company, Suzlon Energy passed away on Saturday evening after a cardiac arrest.

“With profound sadness, we inform you of the untimely demise of Shri Tulsi R.Tanti, the Founder, the Chairman & Managing Director, and one of the promoters of Suzlon Energy Limited (the “Company”) on 1st October 2022. Shri Tanti suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away the same day,” the company said in a regulatory filing.

Tanti, 64, was on his way to Pune from Ahmedabad when he suffered a cardiac arrest, a company official said.
He is survived by his daughter Nidhi and son Pranav.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condoled his untimely demise.
“Shri Tulsi Tanti was a pioneering business leader who contributed to India’s economic progress and strengthened our nation’s efforts to further sustainable development. Pained by his untimely demise. Condolences to his family and friends. Om Shanti”, Modi tweeted.

Tanti founded Suzlon Energy, now valued at Rs 8,535.9 crore, in 1995 when the global wind energy market was dominated by global players.

Tulsi Tanti was widely known as the visionary who pioneered the renewable energy revolution in India. He spearheaded the wind energy revolution in India with the founding of Suzlon Energy in 1995.
