Teen’s Suspicious Death Near Noida International Airport Sparks Tension

Jewar (23/05/2026): Tension has escalated in Banwariwas village near the upcoming Noida International Airport after the suspicious death of a teenage boy whose body was found in nearby Rohi village. The deceased was reportedly around 15-16 years old, and villagers suspect murder, triggering anger and unrest across the area.

Following the incident, hundreds of local residents gathered in Banwariwas and nearby villages, demanding a fair and transparent investigation. Villagers claimed that the circumstances surrounding the teen’s death appear highly suspicious and have raised serious concerns regarding safety and law enforcement in the rapidly developing airport region.

Police teams immediately reached the spot after receiving information and initiated an investigation. The body has been sent for postmortem examination, and officials stated that further legal action will be taken after the medical and forensic reports are received.

Speaking to Ten News Network over the phone, Additional DCP Greater Noida Santosh Kumar confirmed that police have registered a case and are investigating the matter from all possible angles.

“The matter is under police investigation and an FIR has been registered. The body has been sent for postmortem. Further legal action will be taken after the report is received. Investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made so far,” said Santosh Kumar, Additional DCP, Greater Noida.

Due to rising tension and public concern, heavy police deployment has been carried out in Jewar and surrounding villages to maintain law and order. The atmosphere in the region remains tense, with police continuing surveillance and monitoring the situation closely.

The incident has once again highlighted growing concerns over rising crime cases in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, particularly in areas surrounding the Noida International Airport project, which is witnessing rapid urban and infrastructure development.

Local residents have urged the administration to ensure a speedy and impartial investigation while strengthening security arrangements in the area.
