New Delhi (India), 25th Jan 2023: Delhi experienced a mild temperature on Wednesday, with the minimum temperature settling at 10.6 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 22 degrees Celsius.
The Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi’s primary weather station, recorded a minimum temperature of 12.3 degrees Celsius, the highest this month so far.
Monday saw the highest maximum temperature this month at 25.9 degrees Celsius, which is the highest for the month in four years.
Clouds trap heat that gets through during the day, keeping night-time temperatures above normal. Overcast conditions are expected to persist on Republic Day as well.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast that the weather will remain mainly cloudy during the day with the possibility of very light rain or drizzle.
