Thailand Minister’s Visit Elevates IHE 2026 Day 3, Strengthening Global Hospitality Partnerships | India Expo Mart

Greater Noida News (07/08/2026): The third day of the 9th India International Hospitality Expo (IHE 2026) at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, witnessed an impressive blend of international engagement, industry participation, and innovation. Despite heavy rainfall across Delhi-NCR, the enthusiasm of the hospitality fraternity remained undeterred, with thousands of professionals from hotels, restaurants, cafés, resorts, interior design, architecture, food service, bakery, and hospitality technology attending the event.

One of the biggest highlights of Day 3 was the visit of H.E. Napintorn Srisunpang, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office of Thailand, who arrived with a high-level delegation. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Exposition Mart Ltd. (IEML). Dr. Kumar extended traditional Indian hospitality and personally led the delegation on an extensive tour of the exhibition, showcasing cutting-edge hospitality solutions, design innovations, food service technologies, and the growing capabilities of India’s hospitality industry.

The third day also featured several major attractions, including IIID Trade Connect 2026, the Hospitality Design Symposium, the Master Bakers Challenge India 2026, and a series of engaging Culinary Masterclasses. These events provided a common platform for industry experts, designers, manufacturers, chefs, and hospitality professionals to exchange ideas, explore business opportunities, and discuss the future of the sector.

The Hospitality Design Symposium hosted a panel discussion titled “Bridging the Gap,” focusing on the evolving relationship between hospitality design, technology, functionality, and guest experiences. The session brought together leading industry experts, including Vinay Gupta of Bathline, Rakesh Chauhan of Greeniam, Bharat Hapani of Kich, Rohit Mehta of Fenesta, architect Tejbeer Singh, Founder of Expressionist by Tejbeer, and Priyanka Seth of Viaanca Interiors.

Speaking on the occasion, Hemant Sood, Chairman of IIID, said that hospitality design today extends far beyond aesthetics and plays a vital role in enhancing guest experiences while meeting technological and operational demands. He noted that IHE serves as an important platform for strengthening collaboration between the hospitality and design industries.

Another major crowd-puller was the third edition of the Master Bakers Challenge India 2026, where professional bakers from across the country showcased their creativity and technical expertise. Participants competed in categories such as Fougasse, Baguette, Bruschetta, Quiche, Pizza, and Freestyle Sweet Cranberries Pizza, highlighting the growing innovation and potential of India’s bakery and foodservice sector.

The Culinary Masterclass sessions, led by renowned chefs Vaibhav Kaushik, Bharat Alagh, and Nand Lal, attracted a large audience of chefs, hospitality professionals, and culinary enthusiasts. Participants gained practical insights into contemporary cooking techniques and emerging culinary trends through interactive demonstrations.

Rajat Taneja, Editor and Publisher of Hammer, said that the hospitality industry is evolving rapidly and platforms like IHE play a crucial role in bringing together every stakeholder under one roof. He added that the strong turnout despite adverse weather reflected the industry’s confidence in the expo as a premier platform for business networking, innovation, and collaboration.

Barun Gupta, COO of Indeva Hotels & Resorts, remarked that understanding changing guest expectations, technology, design, and operational efficiency is essential for hospitality businesses. He said the impressive visitor response despite heavy rains demonstrates the industry’s commitment to discovering innovative solutions and building meaningful business partnerships.

Throughout the day, the exhibition floor remained vibrant as hotel groups, restaurant chains, cafés, resorts, institutional buyers, designers, and procurement professionals explored new products and technologies. Exhibitors showcased hospitality interiors, hotel supplies, kitchen equipment, bakery machinery, foodservice solutions, and advanced hospitality technologies, creating valuable business and networking opportunities.
