New Delhi (29/10/23): More than 10,000 doctors took out a massive procession in Delhi marching from Maulana Azad Medical College to Rajghat. Police placed heavy barricades and prevented the rally from proceeding towards Rajghat. Doctors protested strongly and sat on road for more than an hour.
More than 100 ambulances were also part of a mile long procession. Every branch of DMA, all nursing homes also participated. Indian Dental Association and its members were present in full strength. Residents Doctors Association of Delhi Hospitals were also part of procession.
Doctors protested against the unfair treatment by authorities and repeated violence against health care workers. Unprecedented rally culminated at Shaheedi Park.
