Traffic diversions in place for PM Modi’s visit to Greater Noida for WDS 2022

Greater Noida, Sept 12th, 2022: All set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, World Dairy Summit 2022 is a three-day event being held at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.

Dignitaries like Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, will also be present at the inauguration ceremony.

Traffic diversions are in place for Modi’s arrival in the Gautam Budh Nagar to inaugurate WDS today.

Ganesh Saha, Deputy Commissioner of Police(Greater Noida) said that diversions are part of a contingency plan in case the PM comes to Greater Noida by road from Delhi.

“While details of the PM’s mode of travel are being kept confidential, we want to be prepared. So diversions will be effected on the Noida-Greater Noida expressway for thirty minutes before his arrival and departure. These diversions will not apply to emergency vehicles such as ambulances”, Saha said.

Eight union ministers, CMs of three states, Indian and foreign VIPs, and dignitaries are expected to in the World Dairy Summit.

In view of the summit, police have also banned drones across Gautam Budh Nagar from Sept 8th to 15th.
“Violation of this order will be an offense punishable under Indian Penal Code Section 188”, said the additional deputy commissioner(law & order) of Greater Noida.
