Ten News today spoke with newly posted SSP of Gautam Buddha Nagar Love Kumar. When we reached his office on the scheduled time of interview, he was busy meeting people. Even through our long wait for the interview, we didn’t see anyone being returned or denied meeting. Also he wasn’t just meeting them as a formality but was actually giving every individual a patient hearing.

Here are the excerpts of the Interview:

TN: What are your priorities as SSP of Gautam Buddha Nagar?

SSP: First priority is law and order, crime as well as regulations of traffic in better way. Another important thing is we are planning to ensure that solution of public grievances is more streamlined and is done in speedy manner.

TN: The citizen police ration is not very ideal in the district, Your comments on the same?

SSP: It is outside our jurisdiction. It has to be done on a different level. Recruitment is done by government but meanwhile whatever force we have we will ensure its maximum utilization and we will focus on result-oriented policing.

TN: What are your plans to make police more people friendly?

SSP: We have already started initiatives for the same thing. By changing the behaviour of our police personals we can at least change the first impression of the police. We are working in this segment as well.

TN: What are your steps to ensure safety of foreigners in District as well as people from outside places?

SSP: We are bound by rule of law and we are really concerned for the safety of foreign nationals.

We will treat everyone equally and law and order is our topmost priority.

TN: What are your provisions to deal with cyber-crime issues in the city?

SSP: We already have a cybercrime cell and I am trying to strengthen them further. I am aware that there has been substantial increase in the number of cases in cybercrime and hence we will be more attentive in this segment.

TN: Your views on meetings of district legislators for withdrawal of cases?

SSP: Whenever any such directive comes from the upper echelon of government necessary steps will be taken by district administration in this regard.
