Two children killed, one injured in road mishap

Pratapgarh (UP), Apr 30 (PTI) Two children were killed and another injured after being hit by a speeding car in Arjunpur village here, police said today.

The children were playing outside their house on Pratapgarh-Rae Bareli National Highway when a speeding car hit them yesterday evening, they said.

While Aham (5) died on the spot, Ganesh (6) was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead, police said, adding another child who sustained injuries is being treated in the district hospital.

The car driver is on the run and efforts are on to nab him, they said.
