Two-day “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training and Exposure” hosted at Galgotias University.
Galgotias University, on 4th July 2024, hosted a transformative two-day “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training and Exposure” sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Government of India under AICTE. The broad agenda of this two-day training program included topics such as: Udyam Registration, Startups, Pitch Deck Development, Business Model Canvas Creation, Innovations in Education, Intellectual Property Rights
Ten esteemed faculty members from various educational institutions including Gautam Buddha University, Shobhit Institute of Engineering and Technology, Raghunath Girls Post-Graduate College, Teeka Ram Kanya Mahavidyalaya and S.S.V.P.G College are participating in this dynamic and informative training program.
The first keynote speaker, Dr. VK Arora, CEO of IGDTUW Anveshan Foundation, spoke on Udyam Registration and Effective Pitch Deck. He discussed in detail about creating a separate entity, developing successful start-ups and what are the key steps to take in the startup profession. The second keynote speaker, Mr. Praveen Kapoor, Co-founder of BeBOSS Technology explained in detail about “Preparation of Business Model Canvas”.
The participants also had a unique opportunity to explore the facilities of Galgotias University during the campus visit. These include Herbal Garden, Incubation Centre, Media Centre, Centre of Excellence, Fabrication Lab, Vermicomposting Unit, Apiculture Centre and Green/Poly House, which will enhance their educational experience and their observation abilities.
Chancellor of Galgotias University, Shri Suneel Galgotia congratulated everyone for the successful organization of the program and encouraged everyone and said that creativity is an indispensable quality for entrepreneurs. It inspires idea generation, opportunity identification, problem solving, innovation and differentiation.
CEO, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, while highlighting the importance of this program, said that entrepreneurship involves identifying opportunities, taking calculated risks and creating new solutions to meet the changing demands of the market.
Director Operations, Aradhana Galgotia expressed her views and said that creative entrepreneurs accept risk, communicate effectively, and constantly learn and adapt. Using their creativity, entrepreneurs can face challenges, take advantage of opportunities, create new solutions and build successful and impactful enterprises.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. K. Mallikharjun Babu, emphasized the need for Galgotias University to create a new product soon, urging everyone to take a pledge towards this goal.
Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Awadhesh Kumar, highlighted the importance of working together with new ideas and innovative thinking to advance innovation and entrepreneurship.
Registrar, Nitin Gaur, stated that entrepreneurship requires creativity and innovation to succeed in the ever-evolving business world.
Dr. Meenakshi Sharma highlighted that entrepreneurs use innovation to identify market gaps and meet ever-changing customer needs, thereby addressing the latest demands of their customers.
Former Vice Chancellor and current Advisor to the Chancellor, Dr. Renu Luthra, encouraged the participants, affirming that they possess the wisdom and skills necessary to make new discoveries and contribute to the nation’s progress. She cited examples such as Paytm, Nirma, Uber, and Sony, highlighting that without innovation and entrepreneurial spirit we would never have had breakthroughs like the Walkman or online payment gateway or car rental services without owning a car among many others.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Shraddha Sagar. Prof. Meenakshi Sharma, Mr. Kamal Kishore Malhotra, and Dr. Gaurav Kumar were also present at the event.
