Two women, constables and PCR drivers arrested in Noida for running extortion racket through Fake Sexual Harrassment complaints!
In a major breakthrough, Noida police on Monday busted a full-fledged network of police personnels and private individuals involved in extorting money from unsuspecting individuals by framing them in fake sexual harrassment complaints.
As per information, 15 individuals including 1 sub-inspector, 3 constables, 3 PCR drivers and 2 women have been arrested in this regard.
After coming to fire the modus operandi of the gang has shocked everyone. According to sources, the women used to lure young and affluent looking vehicle drivers to give her a lift and would then direct them to stop near Sector 44 police booth. Thereafter she would get inside the police booth and come out with Chowki-incharge who would pretend to have recieved a complaint of rape or sexual harrassment against the vehicle owner.
More police personnel as well as other people posing in as girls family members would then join-in and would threaten the victim with dire consequences until a compromise with hefty financial sum was brokered.
The police action on Monday took place after several similar complaints were recieved from the area. After laying a trap, accused were arrested red handed while extorting money from a victim.
