UDAN will get us 100 more Airports very soon says Jayant Sinha

Union Civil Aviation Minister addressed a session at ongoing CII Annual Session 2017.
The session titled ‘Is India’s Civil Aviation Geared for India’s Aspirations?” was also co-chaired by Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, TATA SIA Airlines Limited.
Speaking at the occasion Jayant Sinha said, “India has most liberal FDI regime in aviation sector. We have allowed around 49% foreign investment and rest 51% has to come through Indian ventures”.
Talking of UDAN flight scheme he said, “We have outlined a very detailed and profitable plan for different airlines and we are trying to bring air-connectivity to more tier-2 and tier-3 cities of India”.
He also said that security and safety has been our top most priority and we spent too much time on the same.
He also spoke about AirIndia and said that earlier AirIndia was facing many problems because of multiple factors but now we are trying to revive it.
