Future of 160 Students In Question
JRE College has stopped taking new admissions from last two years. However there are still student batches in different years that have to complete their education and get a degree from here. The college is affiliated by AKTU.
As per sources the college is run by two partners who are embroiled in some internal dispute from some time. The salaries of the teaching and non-teaching staff have also seized to come because of the same. While professors are finding it difficult to continue in the present scenario, students are also having grave concerns about their uncertain future.
Students who have already completed two-three years of education in the campus have no-other option but to continue here or waste their precious years. Despite being sympathetic to students, the Professors also need their hard-earned salary to make a living. The college management however sources claim, has gone completely incognito and has become inapproachable by both students and staff.
Feeling Duped By College Management, Students Reach Out to Government
Students have now decided to approach district authorities and state government for their concerns. On Tuesday students submitted a memorandum addressed to DM. They also plan to write to CM, PM and other concerned authorities, requesting necessary intervention to ensure completion of their degrees.
