New Delhi, 29 August, 2022: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that the Central Government is promoting education in engineering, technical and medical degrees in local languages as well, while urging students to retain their mother tongue by using it regularly at home.
At the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU)’s convocation event in Gujarat’s capital Gandhinagar, Shah addressed the graduating students.
“If you want to be satisfied and pleased, then working for others should be your first goal,” he urged the graduating students while wishing them a bright future
“I’d like to encourage kids and youth to continue using their mother tongue at home, regardless of the medium of instruction. We are currently supporting mother language education in engineering, technical, and medical courses,” he continued.
The Union Home Minister emphasised this issue, saying, “Keep your native tongue alive. My desire is that you talk, write, and read in your own language at home.”
Shah mentioned the new National Education Policy (NEP), emphasising the importance of developing a new curriculum and establishing colleges to meet the demands of the country’s future needs in order to link the young with development.
“The NEP emphasises teaching children with information and skills based on future requirements. This is likewise being achieved here,’ he stated.
He expressed confidence that NFSU’s graduating students will work hard to realise the NFSU’s mission. It was noteworthy, according to Shah, that they received these degrees during the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ ceremonies.
