Union Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma Inaugurates Indian Fashion Show Of EPCH at India Expo Mart

Greater Noida: We all know Indian sub continent is the second largest manufacturer of garments after China being the global leader in garment production. India is known for its high quality garments for men and most of the garment manufacturers are in the Small and Medium scale industry.

On Monday, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Union Minister of State For Culture Inaugurated the 61st edition of India International Garment Fair (IIGF) at India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida, in the presence of Satya Dev Pachauri, Minister of Khadi, Village Industries, Sericulture, Textiles, MSME and Export Promotion, Govt. of UP and Pankaj Singh, MLA of BIP, Noida & General Secretary of BIP, UP.

 

The three day international fair from 16th-18th July, will be
primarily covering the Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer of European Union,USA and other western markets.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for Culture Mahesh Sharma said,

“Today me and my younger brother pankaj Singh are the co-host. We welcome satya dev pachauri ji and thanks to him for taking this business on Greater heights. Expo centre have made his mark across the country. In October India’s biggest airport will be inaugurated by PM modi this year. The Fair has grown in scale and scope and emerged as the one of the largest and most popular platforms in Asia where overseas garment buyers can source and forge the business relationship with India’s finest in Apparel and Fashion Accessories domain. I congratulate everyone for this brilliant fair.”

Commenting on the Fair, MLA of BJP, Noida and Genral Secretary of BJP, UP, Pankaj Singh said, “The Schemes which are run by the government for sure it will take Export industry ahead. A little bit may have happen due to GST and Reforms. Garments has been a vital part of our culture and country. Noida has over 800 Apparel exporters and it is a very encouraging move by the UP Govt. This provides a huge scope of expansion to these factories.”

Addressing the Gathering Textile Minister, Satya Dev Pachauri said, ” Noida is not that old noida anymore . Now we can say that noida futuristic financial capital of this country. How people are coming to visit and staying it’s helping noida development. Money is being used for the development. Mumbai is only known for Bollywood now. But UP is becoming capital of financial capital of india.”
