Uttar Pradesh, Sept 12th,2022: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, known for his strict adherence to law and order, on Sunday suspended 15 officials for their negligence that caused a fire in a Lucknow hotel, rendering the death of four people.
These fifteen officials were from the fire department, home department, energy department, and more.
The fire incident took place on 5th Sept in the Hotel Levana of Lucknow, claiming four lives.
The suspension notices were sent out after an investigation into the matter was conducted by the Police Commissioner of Lucknow and the Divisional Commissioner of Lucknow.
The action will also be initiated against four retired officers for their negligence and irregularities.
“The concerned departments have been directed to suspend the officials and to institute departmental proceedings and take action against retired officers as per rules in the light of the prevailing rules,” the official statement from the CM’s office reads.
CM Adityanath has ordered strict action against the officials who were prima facie irregular and negligent in the fire incident in Lucknow.
