UP CM Yogi Adityanath confident of BJP winning state polls again; says it is ’80 vs 20′ fight

Uttar Pradesh, February 14: After the first phase of Uttar Pradesh polls, in an Interview with ANI on Monday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed confidence of BJP forming the government again by securing over 300 seats in the 403-seat Legislative Assembly.

He added that the polls are a fight between 80 versus 20 wherein ’80 per cent are those who back progress while 20 per cent people oppose everything and have a negative attitude’.

The Chief Minister asserted, “I am confident that after the first phase of Assembly elections, the scenario has become clear that BJP will form the govt again in UP with an overwhelming majority. There should not be an iota of doubt about it.”

Explaining what he means by the 80 versus 20 for the Uttar Pradesh elections, the Chief Minister said, “It’s a reaction to action. I said 80% people are with BJP & 20% always oppose us & will do so this time too. I didn’t say it the context of religion or caste. 80% includes those who are happy with Govt’s agenda of security & development whereas 20% include people with negative mentality who always oppose, and support mafias & criminals. After first phase of polls, it is clear that this election is truly 80 vs 20,” he told ANI adding BJP has received support from over 80% people.

The second phase of polling, covering 55 seats in 9 districts (Saharanpur, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Budaun and Shahjahanpur), in the state is underway amid tight security.
