UP is becoming ‘Rape Capital of India’ : Congress Leader Supriya Shrinate

New Delhi (07/12/2019): After the death of the Unnao rape victim, the Congress launched a scathing attack on the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh, alleging that the perpetrators are protected, due to which such incidents are happening again and again.
Congress Party spokesperson, Supriya Shrinate told reporters today, “What happened to Unnao’s daughter clearly shows that the criminals in Uttar Pradesh are strong. They have political patronage somewhere and this is the reason why such incidents are happening.”
“We demand strict action in the matter. The UP government has to wake up to realise that the state is becoming the rape capital of the country,” she added.
On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath has instructed two ministers of the state government to visit the village of Unnao rape victim who was burnt alive, immediately. The victim died in a Delhi hospital on Friday night.
