UPSRTC starts direct bus service to Haridwar from Alpha Commercial metro Station

Greater Noida:    Good news for Greater Noida residents who frequently travel to Uttrakhand as UPSRTC has started a daily bus service between Greater Noida to Haridwar from Friday. The transport department comes up with decision ensuing ‘Char Dham Yatra’ of religious pilgrimages to holy shrines, part of which – Kedarnath, Badrinath – fall in Uttarakhand region and increased demands from residents in Greater Noida.

Bus will ferry twice a day from Alpha commercial metro station to Haridwar. First bus will depart at 6 am in the morning while the second bus will depart at 7 pm. The fare from Greater Noida depot is Rs 279 and from Alpha commercial metro station is Rs 275.

“There was increasing demand for the bus service to Haridwar by the residents of the city, especially who hails from the Uttrakhand. So to make their travel easy we have started this bus service” said Luv Kumar assistant regional manager (ARM) Greater Noida deport, Gautam Budh Nagar, UPSRTC. He also added that further the number of buses on the route might be increased as per the demand.

As for your information, earlier people have to go Anand Vihar ISBT or to Mohan Nagar bus stand Ghaziabad to get direct bus service for Haridwar. As per the officials, bus will have capacity of 52 passengers and will commute via Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Modinagar, Meerut, Muradnagar, Khatauli, Muzaffarnagar, UP border, Roorkee, Jwalapur to Haridwar.

Members Uttarakhand cultural committee welcomed this move from UPSRTC and said: “this is our long pending demand which is not got fulfilled we are happy as it will save both time and money of commuters.”
