New Delhi (India), April 24, 2023: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has received yet another death threat after an anonymous individual sent a message to the emergency service number, “Dial 112.” The message threatened to kill the Chief Minister and was received on April 23 at 10:22 p.m.

The sender, identified as Rehan, has been booked under sections 506 and 507 of the Indian Penal Code, as well as IT Act 66, by the Sushant Golf City police station in Lucknow.

This comes days after a media house received an email threatening to assassinate the Chief Minister. In early April, Noida Police apprehended a 16-year-old schoolboy from Lucknow for allegedly sending the email.

The teenager, a resident of Bihar, was later released on bail after being produced in a juvenile court in Noida. The email was sent to a private television newsgroup and threatened to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath.

The recent death threat to the Chief Minister has raised concerns over his security, and the police are conducting an investigation into the matter.

Yogi Adityanath, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has been a controversial figure in Indian politics and has often courted controversy with his statements and actions. He has previously faced threats from various groups, and his security has been heightened in recent years.
