Uttar Pradesh Set to Showcase its Rich Culture and Traditions at UPITS 2024 at India Expo Mart

Uttar Pradesh, renowned across the country for its rich culture and traditions, is all set to take this heritage to new heights with the UP International Trade Show 2024 (UPITS). Scheduled from September 25 to 29, 2024, at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida, the second edition of this event aims not only to highlight the state’s trade opportunities but also to showcase its cultural wealth, craftsmanship, cuisine, and entertainment.

Spanning across an impressive 1.1 lakh square meters, the event will both establish Uttar Pradesh as a global trade hub and preserve the state’s cultural legacy. Over five days, the show will feature conferences, forums, live product demonstrations, fashion shows, laser shows, and a wide variety of cultural performances, showcasing the multifaceted essence of Uttar Pradesh.

UPITS 2024 goes beyond business and industry, offering a glimpse into the cultural heritage of the state. The Uttar Pradesh Culture Department will present the state’s rich intangible cultural heritage through performances from different regions of the state, such as Braj, Paschimanchal, Awadh, Rohilkhand, Bundelkhand, and Purvanchal. Special performances, including the iconic Shiva Tandava, Kathak dance dramas, and other musical and dance showcases, will also be featured.

A celebration of Uttar Pradesh’s musical heritage will include performances by renowned artists such as Ankit Tiwari, Kanika Kapoor, and the famous band Euphoria led by Palash Sen. These captivating musical performances promise to enchant audiences and offer a unique experience of Uttar Pradesh’s vibrant entertainment scene.

Adding to the event’s cultural diversity, Vietnam, the guest country this year, will enthrall audiences with its traditional performances. This glimpse into Vietnamese culture will bring even more variety to the cultural colors of Uttar Pradesh.

Under the International Cultural Confluence, with the support of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), artists from countries like Bolivia, Russia, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Venezuela, and Egypt will also perform. Their presentations will give the event a distinctive international platform, promoting cultural diversity and global partnerships.
