As part of Vigilance Awareness Week-2016Dronacharya Group of Instituitions, Greater Noida in association with GAIL(India) Limited took the initiative to ensure a wider outreach especially for creation of awareness on corruption and its effects amongst the youth and college students.Under this initiative, GAIL organized a Debate and Elocution Contest on 7th November 2016 on topics related to corruptions and its ill effects, importance of morals and values, honesty and integrity, ethics, transparency in governance and how youth can participate in the fight against corruption and such related issues. Students from KCC (Greater Noida), JRE (Greater Noida), DCE (Gurgaon) and DGI (Greater Noida) participated in the competition.

The competition was conducted in the august presence of following Dignitaries:

  • Sh.  A K Kaushik, SM (F&Q), GAIL India Limited

  • Ms. Dalima Singh, DM (Inst.), GAIL India Limited
  • Rtn. Kapil Gupta, President, Rotary Club Green Greater Noida
  • Rtn. Mukul Goel, Rotary Club Green Greater Noida
  • Rtn. Vinod Kasana, Rotary Club Green Greater Noida

 

The event began with the lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana.

 

It was followed by an Integrity Pledge being taken by the students and audience.

 

The Debate and Elocution Contest was held both in English as well as in Hindi on the topic:

“Public Participation is essential for promoting integrity and eradicating corruption and “Corruption can be eradicated through public participation and not through strict laws”.

Hindi Debate:

III)             Third Prize:            Annu Bansal

 

English Elocution:

  1. I) First Prize:              Shiv Kumar Arora, DGI 
  2. II) Second Prize:          Kartik Khanna, DCE 

III)             Third Prize:            Madhvesh Upadhyay,  and Adamya Singh

 

Hindi Elocution:

  1. I) First Prize:              Chirag Khurana
  2. II) Second Prize:          MD. Khwaza Meharban

III)             Third Prize:            Divya Chaturvedi

 

The competition came to end with Prize and Certificate distribution.
