VIHAAN 2017 : BIMTECH Annual Inter B School Fest Culminates with a bang

BIMTECH opened its doors to various under- graduation as well as MBA college students to welcome them to participate and enjoy the annual cultural and managerial fest ,VIHAAN 2017. This was a grand event which comprised more than 12 events and saw a gathering of around 500 people from various colleges like – IIT Delhi, IIM Amritsar, JIMS Kalkaji, IMI Delhi, Shiv Nadar University, Maitreyi college, Dyal Singh college, DU, Galgotias, Bharti College etc.
All the clubs and conduits of BIMTECH organised their own events which saw participation both from BIMTECH as well as outside colleges. All such events had cash prizes for both 1st and 2nd positions. The event was sponsored by various companies such as VLCC, NTPC , Decathalon, The circle café, Panasonic, Safe Express, Intern Theory, BSE, Bulland Group, Samridhi, Drodi, Gorgeous Designs, Insecticides.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the morning on 28th of October where Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi , director of BIMTECH , marked the beginning of the much awaited 2 day fest by lighting the lamp and boosted the morale of the students with his wise words.
On the first day the flagship event of VIHAAN 2017 began on a high note with as many as 20 participants competing for THE BEST MANAGER which went on for 7 hours on the first day and continued for 6 hours on the second day after which the winner was declared in the evening who was Arup Dey from Shiv Nadar University
Day events such as Common ground- which tested the mediating skills of participants ,Kurukshetra – which challenged them physically and B-plan which challenged them mentally, EnviCorp – which tested their concern for environment, Symposium- A round table debate, Break the code- a test of candidate’s knowledge of English terms , Mock Stock- a simulation of actual share market scenario , The Fourth Estate- which rewarded candidates with exceptional detective skills and Counter strike which recognized the gamers. After these managerial events, the evening marked the start of cultural events such as ‘War of Bands’ as the name suggests was a competition in which bands of different colleges participated. There was EUPHONY as well which put to test the solo singing skills of the participants. The day concluded with an invigorating performance by EKA band which enthralled the students and brought them out to dance.
The second day yet again brought a whole set of interesting events like “Mystery of Modi Ministry” –which put participants in Modi’s shoes, “Creative Warriors”- which brought out the creative artists, “Sellography”- which recognized the budding photographers and marketers, “SuperCorp” – which grilled the participants through a rigorous interviewing process and finally “Game of Knowns”- which unveiled the extraordinary marketers. The evening of the second day came with the entertaining events like “Dancellium” and “Fashionista”.Both the events left the audience mesmerized with their glamour quotient. The two day fest was beautifully concluded by an EDM night by Progressive Brothers.
Throughout the entire fest beginning from early morning of Day 1 the hunger cravings of the super busy students were carefully taken care of by the variety of stalls that were put up.
