Virat Kohli Rubbishes Reports on Rift, With Rohit Sharma, Says We have had no issues!

(30/07/2019) Before going to the West Indies tour, Team India captain Virat Kohli addressed a press conference along with coach Ravi Shastri in Mumbai. Ahead of India’s tour of West Indies, skipper Virat Kohli said the upcoming T20s and ODIs will be a great opportunity for youngsters coming into the side and backed Ravi Shastri to get a renewed term as head coach.



Virat Kohli Slamming the reports of a rift between him and Rohit Sharma said, “We have had no issues. I don’t know who’s benefitting from all of this. “It’s baffling, it’s time that we take Indian cricket forward and not focus on things that are not even there,” said the India captain while admitting he had heard about the talk, “I have also heard a lot in the last few days. You get to hear from outside only.”

India will play two Tests during the tour of West Indies and those will be part of the World Test Championship.The inaugural edition will see the elite nations – Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies fight for top honours across 71 Test matches in 27 series over the next two years.

The top two teams will then play the final, scheduled to be to held in June 2021 in the United Kingdom.

Speaking on Test Championship India captain Virat said the ICC World Test Championship, that gets underway on August 1, will add context to the longest format and give it a much-needed boost.
