VNL conferred with the prestigious Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Skill Excellence Award

28th March, New Delhi: The prestigious Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Skill Excellence award has been conferred to VNL for its innovative indigenous design and development of 4G solutions optimized for India keeping in mind the peculiar challenges of the geographical terrains, errant or no grid power availability, lack of road infrastructure etc., in the rural areas of the country.

The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Skill Excellence Award is presented to successful leaders in the telecom domain and institutions of India annually for their exemplary and outstanding contributions in the field. The award is a testament to the work done in the areas of skilling, services, manufacturing and applications in deploying telecom dependent sectoral solutions across industries including rural and remote 4G connectivity, agriculture, commerce, health and education.

Receiving this prestigious award from Hon’ble Minister of Communication, IT and Railways Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Udit Mehrotra, CEO & MD of VNL said, “I dedicate this award to our Founder and Chairman, Sh. Rajiv Mehrotra who has relentlessly worked for the advancement of the domestic telecom equipment manufacturing industry and for working towards designing, developing and commercializing world class telecom infrastructure products and solutions, which did not exist earlier in India. 

VNL offers 3GPP and TEC standards (Cat-II) compliant 4G/LTE solutions, that are also optimised for VSAT. VNL’s 4G/LTE products are solar powered, extremely cost-effective, easy to deploy and maintain integrated solutions.

VNL’s portfolio of products also includes its path breaking innovation called “ResQmobil”, an Innovative Indian conceived and designed Mobile Phone based Search and Rescue Life-Saving System to provide instant broadband mobile communication to Rescue teams. It also immediately detects and locates survivors in natural disasters, like earthquakes, floods, cloud bursts, tsunami, storms and Homeland security for events like terrorist attacks, fires & functions and many more.

Besides this, VNL’s diverse communications portfolio of products includes rural networks, disaster management solutions, security & surveillance solutions, as well as tactical communication systems. The company has also indigenously engineered, and designed solutions for homeland security and enterprise connectivity needs across the world.
