Deputy CEO of Noida Authority Saumya Srivastava has been transferred in the recent administrative reshuffle done by Yogi Government. He has been made ADM of Lucknow Trans Gomti region.
Since after joining Noida Authority in mid-2015, Saumya Srivastava has been most actively working round the clock for the greater good of Noida residents. His people-friendly approach, immediate pro-active response and complete transparency in working have made him the most sought after administrative official in Noida authority. Calm as his name and a no-nonsense, upright attitude towards official responsibility made him a hot favourite of RWA’s as well as general Noida public.
Though administrative transfers are a part and parcel of government service, yet Noida residents feel that given his work-proficiency and knowledge of city and its problem, his transfer should have been avoided for some more time.
People feel that no-matter how good the replacement is transfer of Saumya Srivastava will create an irreparable vacuum in Noida authority.
DCEO Saumya Srivastava was also very pro-active on Noida Ten News Whatsapp group and he had on several occasions resolved problems and grievances posted their within hours.
Talking about his transfer Anuj Agarwal, Cyber Crime Expert said, “Saumya Srivastava showed Noida what all a public servant can actually achieve with good intent and resolve. He was a wonderful officer and I am sure he will continue to keep doing great work wherever he goes’.
A S Arya said,”It is very unjust that officers who actually work on ground are transferred or promoted to other places however the incompetent officials keep staying at single posting. Government should make some provisions to include people feedback before making such major transfers”.
FONRWA President N P Singh said that though such transfers are a regular exercise that needs to be done by government from time to time, we will really miss the exemplary excellence and easy-approachability exhibited by Saumya Ji. FONRWA wants to wish him all the best for all his future endeavors”.
Amit Gupta said, “It is a matter of pride that such hardworking officer has been duly promoted but for sure it is equally bad news for Noida. It will be really difficult to fill his shoes, no matter who joins next”.
Our team also spoke to several other eminent citizens of Noida and everyone called it a bad decision for Noida.
Despite being a senior officer, Saumya Srivastava would easily be available to general public even late at night or on days of holiday. He would utilize social media very effectively to resolve public grievances. It was just day before yesterday that he had announced a dedicated twitter handle for filling of pot-holes in Noida roads.
After his transfer he said, “I am grateful to people of Noida for their support and cooperation. I had a great experience while working in this city and I wish that such people-administration connect is maintained and flourishes for the betterment of the city and its people”.
