‘War’ to feature Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff dance face-off on Jai Jai Shivshankar
New Delhi: Bollywood ace dancers Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff will be coming together for a dance face-off on the song Jai Jai Shivshankar in their upcoming film, War. In an interaction with the media about the film, director Siddharth Anand stated, “Since the inception of the film, people were speculating there would be a huge dance anthem featuring two of the best dancers of our country — Hrithik and Tiger. This has been the biggest anticipation that automatically becomes a huge pressure for the people to deliver a cracking song that would become an anthem.”
The two actors will be seen dancing on the Holi song Jai Jai Shivshankar, which is expected to become a blockbuster hit. “Firstly, we had to get the track right — one that justifies them dancing on it together. Hrithik and Tiger have had great songs and hit numbers to their credit; since we’re bringing them together for the first time, we have all the more responsibility to deliver a track that becomes a blockbuster instantly,” the director said.
Siddharth further added, “I told Vishal and Shekhar (composer duo) that this is not just a song but responsibility. I think it’s the blessings of God and Hrithik and Tiger’s fans that we have been able to create a track that’s truly an anthem. You have to hear it to understand it.”
The video of the song featuring over 500 dancers, was conceptualised by Bosco and Caesar for more than a month before it was taken to the actors.
The director revealed that the duo had rehearsed for three weeks to make it a visual spectacle. “This is a Holi song. What got me excited was its lyrics, ‘Jai jai Shivshankar, aaj mood hai bhayankar. When you see this song, you’ll get into a bhayankar mood to dance. You will just freak out and that is the killer part of it.”
