We are all grateful for what MS Dhoni has done for Indian Cricket: Virat Kohli
New Delhi: Will Virat Kohli’s Men in Blue take a step closer to the World Cup title or will it be Kane Williamson-led Blackcaps? More than 11 years after they played against each other in an U19 World Cup semi-final, Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson will tonight lead their sides in the first Cricket World Cup Semi-final.
Indian Cricket Team Captain, Addressing the Media, on New Zealand Captain Kane Williamson and he captaining their sides in Worl Cup Semis after doing the same in 2008 U-19 World Cup semis said, “When we meet tomorrow I’ll remind him. It’s nice to realise that 11 yrs after, we’re captaining our respective nations again in a senior World Cup.”
While talking about MS Dhoni as a Personality he said,
“The respect for Dhoni is always going to be high, Especially being captain, he gives you space to discover yourself. But if i ask anything, he’s always there to help. Im delighted that i have been able to play for so many years along with MSD”
He further said, “Just playing as player after Captaining the team fot so many years, still not being too assertive in anything. He givess u space to make your own decisions to actually discover yourself, i think that’s been his biggest quality. At same time i go & ask him anything”
“I’m sure if you ask anyone about Dhoni, there are special things to say. Especially for players who started under him. When a person has done so much, you have to acknowledge. We are all grateful for what he has done”, added Kohli.
