New Delhi, 29 June 2022: At the 23rd Handicraft Export Awards Function, Aesthetic Living Merchants won the Top Export Award 2017-18 and Platinum Performer Certificate 2018-19 for leather handicrafts.
In conversation with Ten News, the Aesthetic Living Merchants team dedicated the award to the artisans and workers in the factories who in the Covid pandemic worked tremendously. “Quality is very important, in the international market we represent India, we have to deliver what we commit to,” they said.
“As far as the challenges are concerned, skilled labour is becoming less and overheads is rising in India with relation to increasing salaries, infrastructure cost and raw material cost. We need to work on it so we can be more competitive and use funds in team work and growth than in infrastructure,” they added.
When asked about support received from EPCH, they said that EPCH is a great platform to promote handicraft shows and artisans. They also work towards skilling people which is a much needed initiative.
