Today, former cricketer Gautam Gambhir joined Bharatiya Janata Party at party headquarters in New Delhi in the presence of the party’s prominent ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and Arun Jaitley.
Vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi influenced and inspired him to hold the hand of Bharatiya Janata Party, the major development in the country’s politics came a day after, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Parliamentary Board Secretary of BJP, J P Nadda announced first candidates list with 184 names.
Gambhir, a national figure and a resident of Delhi who completed his studies from Modern School and The Hindu College, might make the saffron party’s battle trouble-free as the 37-year-old cricketer has a strong fanbase and a social worker, his involvement in social causes through Gautam Gambhir Foundation.
Earlier the former cricketer has announced to bear all education expenses of the children of CRPF personnels martyred in Sukma Attack in 2017.
BJP knows that there are chances that the grand old party Congress and Aam Aadmi party may form an alliance which makes the political war more challenging for the saffron party in the national capital and Gambhir might be successfull in disturbing the chemistry of opposition parties.
The player has been awarded with Padam Shree and Arjun Award, the cricketer turned politician holds a positive appearance and never been in controversies. So his image will be beneficial for the ruling party and it might be successful in reaping votes.
