Wipro letter offering lower renumeration to freshers goes viral, netizens question company

New Delhi (India), 21st February 2023: The Multinational IT Company Wipro in a mail addressed to it’s freshers has said they would no longer be offering the promised ₹6.5 LPA and the revised offer is that of ₹3.5 LPA.

The freshers could take up this offer which would only be valid for a limited time and upon acceptance all previous offers will stand nullified. The onboarding process was also being deferred since August.

The company had to take these given steps due to the volatile state of the world economy and a possible recession looming over our heads.

Under the company’s two training programmes Elite and Turbo candidates are offered ₹3.5 LPA and ₹6.5 LPA respectively. But now the offer has been reduced and left the candidates disappointed.
The candidates are graduates of 2022 who were previously being trained under Wipro’s Velocity Programme.

The candidates received the email on 16th February and we’re supposed to send their affirmation letters opting for the lower-paying role by February 20th.
