Woman, 4 kids found dead in Delhi flat, police hints at suffocation from Angithi

New Delhi (19/01/2022): Bodies of a woman and her four children were found inside their house in Shahdara’s Seemapuri area, postmortem of bodies underway to ascertain the cause of death, said Delhi Police on Wednesday.

“Rented our flat a few days ago, never met them in person. My father knocked on their door this morning for paperwork but returned on receiving no response. Later police informed us about the incident. 4 kids & a woman (dead)…we have been told that husband came later,” said the flat owner.

However, police is initially over the presence of Angithi in the room, as well as is probing all other angels.

Talking about the incident, Nishant Gupta, Additional DCP, Shahdara, said, “Three kids and 1 lady found dead; got to know that husband had gone out with another kid, who was also dead. Total 5 dead. Prima facie, deaths due to suffocation, we found ‘angithi’ in room but not ruling out any foul play. Husband being probed.”
