Special training programme for street food vendors on Food Safety on March 25th 2015 at Greater Noida
How much do you know about your food? Unsafe food is linked to the deaths of an estimated 2 million people annually. As our food supply becomes increasingly globalized new threats are constantly emerging. Food containing harmful bacteria, viruses, parasites or chemical substances is responsible for more than 200 diseases, ranging from diarrhea to cancers. Be informed to ensure that the food on your plate is safe to eat. This is the message of this year’s World Health Day on 7 April.
Street food vendors get trained on making food safe – Training commemorated to create awareness about food safety, the theme of World Health Day 2015
Training was conducted by the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in collaboration with the WHO Country Office for India
