WORLD HERITAGE DAY OBSERVED AT DPS RAJ NAGAR EXTENSION
Ghaziabad. Teachers and students of DPS Raj Nagar Extension campus conducted a special assembly on account of World Heritage Day on Tuesday. The students performed various activities to mark the day including a choir performance by the students of VIth standard. A quiz on the theme of the day was most enjoyed by the pupil, wherein the students got to know different trivia and facts about the monumental history. Many students recited poems composed by Rabindranath Tagore.
The event started with a brief address by school’s Vice Principal, Ms. Anita Chaudhary, speaking on the significance of World Heritage Day, followed by splendid performances by the students on various folk dances, like Kathak, Bharatnatyam, kuchipudi etc.At the end the quiz competition received most cheers, and questions based on the national as well as international monuments, history, and cultures were enjoyed by everyone. “History forms an integral part of our life, and with such occasions we try to recall our greatest achievements, teachings and many untold stories of the rich cultural & monumental history of the world”, said Ms. Chaudhary at the event. The day concluded with distribution of gifts to the winners of the quiz competition.
