Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has initiated action for financial audit of all builder projects. For the purpose a six member committee has been formed under the guidance of Advisor R M Saxena.

The committee will submit its fact finding report within two months to YEIDA Chairman and Meerut Commissioner Dr. Prabaht Kumar. The audit was also proposed by the YEIDA Chairman himself in order to check expenditures.

As of date, Yamuna Industrial Development Authority has allotted lands for 28 builder projects. Buyers and investors of these projects are also facing problems in terms of delayed delivery of flats. The grievance of buyers is said to be the prime factor behind Chairman Dr. Prabhat’s initiative to order audit.

The committee also comprises of OSD Shailendra Bhatia, GM Finance, GM Project and GM Planning. The six member panel will undertake ground visits to evaluate the status of construction, payment or dues being owed by builder to authority, number of flats booked in the project, amount of payment received by builder from buyers, the proposed date of completion and delivery among other things.

The report has to be submitted to YEIDA Chairman Dr. Prabaht Kumar within two months.
