YEIDA 65th Board Meeting: 5 smart villages to be made with 49.30 crore, 500 crore earmarked for multi-model connectivity

Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh), May 30: The 65th board meeting of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority was organised on Thursday in which a number of key decisions including development of five model villages and better connectivity through multiple models were passed.
YEIDA board has allocated 103 crore for rural development which also includes 49.30 crore for development of five smart villages. The aspirational Noida International Airport project has also taken a big share of budget with Rs 425 crore allotted for the same. The authority is also focusing on development of multi-modal connectivity with 500 crore allotted for metro and other feasible models under the initiative.
Addressing the media briefing on this occasion, YEIDA CEO Arun Veer Singh said, “For the last financial year we have increased our financial earning to 1359 crore in lieu of different property sales. For 2019-20 the entire revenue target has been kept at 2223 crore rupees in which 1984 crore is expected from sales and lease of different land and units under different projects including Jewar International Airport.”
OSD Shailendra Bhatia also informed the reporters about the key decision taken in this meeting and said, “The board has allocated 83.94 crore rupees for interchange between Yamuna Expressway and Yamuna Peripheral. Board has passed a proposal for metro line between Knowledge park 2 to Jewar Metro.”
It was also informed that the authority only borrowed Rs 350 crore in the last financial year which is 400 crore less than 2017-18.
