YEIDA DGM AK Singh : Fake Complaint Against Senior Officials Led to Arrest From Office, Know the whole Story!

Meerut Divisional Commissioner and YEIDA Chairman Dr. Prabhat Kumar on Monday facilitated the arrest of YEIDA DGM AK Singh for making false corruption allegations against top officials.

As per reliable sources four different complaints were filed through IGRS portal and sent to CM alleging that an official of general manager rank was being transferred from Muzaffarnagar to Greater Noida on payment of a bribe of Rs50 lakh. In four different letters different officials including YEIDA Chairman as well as industries minister Suresh Mahana were accused of taking bribe.

On preliminary investigation of the complaints it came to light that addresses and names of complainants were fake. Hence on behest of YEIDA Chairman Dr. Prabhat Kumar a probe was initiated and case was registered under IMPC 420, 468 and 182. Investigating officer later found that DGM AK Singh was in constant touch over phone with one of the complainant.

An Unexpected Arrest In-between the Meeting

On Monday noon while most Authority officials were getting ready for weekly board meeting and most senior officials were waiting inside the board room, YEIDA Chairman Prabhat Kumar called DGM AK Singh to his chamber. Investigating official and YEIDA CEO were already waiting in the chamber. As soon as Deputy General Manager Ashish Kumar Singh, arrived he was arrested.

Singh was looking after division 6 & 2 and had several infrastructure projects such as roads, affordable housing and park development in urban areas under his watch.
He was taken to Kasna Police station after the arrest. Police officials informed, “We have arrested AK Singh in connection with an FIR lodged on August 11 against unidentified persons. In the FIR, it was alleged that a fake corruption case was filed against top officials. We are questioning AK Singh in Kasna police station.”

AK Singh was formerly posted as Executive Engineer Traffic in Ghaziabad and has come on a deputation from there to YEIDA on 28 December 2015.
