Amid third wave threat, YEIDA introduces plot scheme for Pediatric Hospitals

Amid speculations of a third wave which is expected to affect children’s more than the adults, many state governments have started raising alarm over pediatric capacities in different hospitals.

In line with this, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has launched a unique scheme for institutional plots in the pediatric specialty hospital category, to ensure preparedness for future.

With the tagline of ‘Fit to Serve Children, Fit to Soar Upwards’, the scheme has opened on June 23 and the applications will be accepted till July, 8, 2021.

The plots will be made available in the Yamuna Expressway area.

As per the scheme brochure, the allotment of plots will be made in sector 18 and sector 20. The hospital can have 100 beds and site area will be 5000 sqm.

Eligible entities such as registered partnership firms, registered trusts, private limited companies etc can made an application in this regard by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 25,000.

All applications will be screened by a screening committee and if any documents are further required, it will be expected to be submitted within a 15 day period.

After execution and registration of the lease deed by the office of Sub Registrar, possession of allotted plot by YEIDA will be handed over to the Lessee.

As part of construction period, minimum FAR for first phase has been fixed at 50% and the time limit for obtaining completion certificate of first phase, is 9 months from the date of execution and registration of Lease deed.
