Yet another laurel for DM Suhas LY – becomes first ever IAS officer to be named for the prestigious Arjuna Award

Delhi-NCR: The District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar Suhas LY, who recently created history by grabbing a silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics 2021, is all set to be honored with the Arjuna Award. With this, he has added another record to his name as he will be the first IAS officer in the country to receive this award.

The National sports awards committee has recommended Suhas LY for Arjuna award along with other Olympic and Paralympic medalists. The Arjuna award will add to the long list of personal achievements of Suhas LY and will also bring pride for the district of Gautam Buddh Nagar.

Arjuna award is one of the highest sporting honours of the country, a sportsperson can get in India. This award is given to sports personalities who have brought laurels to India in the world by performing brilliantly and encouraging sports talent.
