Yogi visits Hanuman Garhi, says PM Modi representive of all devotees who wanted to witness Foundation laying

New Delhi [India], Aug 3 : Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Aadityanath on Monday paid a visit to temple town Ayodhya and took stock of ongoing preparations for stone laying ceremony.

Speaking to a news agency, Chief Minister Adityanath said, “We’ve made all arrangements to ensure that there is no laxity on any count. Main focus is on #COVID19. The protocol has to be enforced very strictly. Only those who are invited should come here. All devotees want to come but PM will represent all of them.”

He also urged all to light earthen lamps in their home to commemorate the occassion.

“To witness this historic moment, it’s essential that we light earthen lamps at our homes on 4th and 5th August, religious leaders decorate temples, organise ‘deepotsav’ and ‘akhand Ramayan Path’ at temples, and remember their ancestors who sacrificed themselves for Ram Temple,” he added.

Meanwhile, many leaders have started to arrive in Ayodhya for the August 5 ceremony. Acknowledging that most of the attendees will be in temple town by tomorrow, Champat Rai, general secretary of Sri Ramjanmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust said, “Many people have come here. VHP leader Dinesh Chand, mahants from ‘akhadas’ in Haridwar. All invitees will be here by tomorrow evening. RSS’ Mohan Bhagwat, Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi and others will come.”

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also offered prayer at the Hanuman Garhi temple in Ayodhya.

The foundation stone laying ceremony of Ram Temple is scheduled on August 5.
