Youth India Development Board honours Founder and CEO of “Majestic by Shweta Singh”

New Delhi :– Shweta Singh, first female pilot from Uttar Pradesh has added one more feather in the list of her achievements with ,”India’s Shining Star Award 2019″, presented by Youth Development Board of India on 29th September 2019. Mrs Singh broke the glass ceiling by struggling through the social barriers and stereotypes associated with being a female, hailing from rural Uttar Pradesh. Her incredible efforts have transformed her into a dynamic individual who has led a diverse and successful career that has literally taken her across the globe filling her with a broad sense of diversity, culture and purpose.



After a successful career spanning 10 years abroad in the corporate world, Shweta Singh moved back to India and decided to use her platform and strong social media influence and status to effect positive change in the rural sector for women and children.

 

Winner of Mrs.India Worldwide North 2018, she is currently Brand Ambassador for IIT Delhi’s ‘Swachhta’ initiative and has been helping to spearhead a programme which has since her tenure, adopted more than 140 villages in the country. In addition to this rural sector programme, She is also grass roots member of the ‘National Education Enrichment in Villages (NEEV)”, which creates opportunities for children to become future leaders through quality early education. Shweta Singh is a spokesperson for ‘The Humsafar Trust’, an organisation dedicated to the equality and protection of the LGBTQ community, working alongside domestic and international partners, including the Canadian and Spanish Government .

Furthermore Shweta Singh is adouble gold medalist pilot of both the ‘All India Vayu Sainik’ and the prestigious Governor’s award with special distinction bestowed by Hon’ble President A.P.J Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
