I started playing golf in Delhi back in 2008. It’s been a rollercoaster ride. As an army kid, I didn’t have much support from the army, but I travelled across the country with my father, playing on various golf courses and working with different coaches. It took time, a lot of time, but looking back, I’m really glad for where I am today, Yuvraj shared, with a sense of pride and gratitude.

Praise for the Adani Group’s Initiative in Golf

Yuvraj also expressed his admiration for the new initiative by the Adani Group and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). The collaboration, he believes, will play a significant role in raising the profile of the sport in India. I think it’s a great initiative. This is a really big announcement, and a shout-out to Adani and the whole company for joining hands with us. Growing the infrastructure in our country is a major step forward. This will definitely help us take the sport to new heights, and we’re constantly working to improve the reach of the game, Yuvraj commented.

He continued, It’s all about inspiring more and more juniors and amateurs to get into the game. With Adani on board, it will be easier for the game to reach various parts of the country and nurture future talent.

The Jaypee Greens Experience

For Yuvraj, Jaypee Greens holds a special place in his heart. Having played at the course as an amateur six years ago, his return to the venue as a professional golfer felt different. I played at Jaypee as an amateur about six years back. Coming back now feels different. Jaypee is a really well-maintained golf course, and the staff here has been absolutely fantastic. Everyone is doing an amazing job. For me, playing here is always a fun experience, and the last two days have been enjoyable. I’m looking forward to making the next two days even more fun, Yuvraj explained, clearly excited about the challenges ahead.

Tiger Woods: A Source of Inspiration

In the world of golf, every player has role models who inspire them. For Yuvraj, Tiger Woods holds a special place. I grew up in the Tiger Woods era, so he’s definitely my all-time favourite. He’s also an army kid, so I can relate to him in many ways. He’s someone who always fought back, no matter the odds. His story is inspirational, and he continues to motivate me with his work ethic and determination. To this day, he remains one of the most inspiring golfers for me, Yuvraj said, his admiration for the golfing legend evident in his words.

Excitement for Technological Advancements in Golf

On the topic of golf technology, Yuvraj shared his excitement for the constant innovations within the sport. There are a lot of companies conducting research and development, especially in terms of equipment. Every brand is doing great work when it comes to clubs and balls, and new technologies always help to improve our game. But at the same time, it also makes golf more precise, which means you need to put in the hours on the practice range to perfect your skills, Yuvraj explained.

A Loyal Callaway Player

As a professional golfer, Yuvraj uses top-tier equipment, and he’s been a loyal player of Callaway for the past two years. I’m a Callaway player, and I’ve been using their gear for the last two years. My entire set is from Callaway. I’m currently using the Callaway irons, including the Apex and the Blades, along with the Epic Driver and Odyssey Putter. I’ve stuck to this combination for the last two years, and it’s working great for me, Yuvraj shared, giving credit to his choice of equipment for his game’s progression.

One of the most significant changes in the golf industry in recent years has been the rise of social media. Yuvraj believes that social platforms have had a positive impact on the sport.
