BJP raises temperature of Capital, protests against Congress over cow slaughter issue

Police in Kannur of Kerala on Sunday booked 16 Youth Congress activists who slaughtered a cow in public and cooked its meat and distributed it. They were charged under IPC Section 428 and section (ii) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 2016.

The BJP, which is trying to gain a toehold in the state and won its first seat in the last year’s Kerala assembly election, holder a protest against Congress in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Protesters raised the slogans of Congress Haye Haye and alleged Congress of being anti-nationalist.

Protesters also demanded to apologize on the issue by Congress at the earliest.

Since many days Cow slaughter issue has raised temperature in the capital.
