New Delhi : After Delhi BJP Chief President Manoj Tiwari on Thursday said the three Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCDs) will hold a joint special session on 27 January to adopt a resolution to stop an ongoing sealing drive for six months.The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday, march to protest for sealing of shops and slammed BJP & BJP-ruled Civic Bodies for collecting conversion charges and diverting into employee Related Expenditures.

Earlier, the MCD was split into three in 2012, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation collected Rs. 643.41 crore from 2012- 2013 to 2016 -2017 Only Rs. 28.19 crore was spent on escrow expenditure, while the remaining Rs. 615.22 crore was spent on other establishment expenses.

While Talking to Ten News AAP’s Leader Said, “The municipal agencies had till date collected around ₹300 crore as conversion and parking charges but had not initiated any developmental projects in their markets.The civic bodies have collected as conversion and parking charges from Delhi markets since 2006-07, a majority was either “diverted” into employee-related expenditures or remains unused. if they seriously want to help Businessman and Traders, they should finish the conversion charges today at three Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCDs) meeting.”
