First time in the history of Uttar Pradesh Government Hospital;s any women had delivered quadruplets by normal delivery. Such rare case can easily be termed as very critical and complex but still Gynaecologist doctor Archana Tyagi of sector 30 Government Hospital and her team successfully tackled the case and ensured safety of all 4 new born’s as well as the mother.

While the three baby girls she delivered on Sunday morning are doing well, the condition of her son is a bit critical and he has been transferred to Child PGI.
Speaking about the case, Dr Archana Tyagi said,“Radha a resident of Raipur village in Sector 12, already has a five-year-old daughter and she was brought here at 9:30 in the morning. I too wasn’t aware of the quadruplets as I had left the delivery after the two daughters were born throguh normal delviery, but we noticed suddenly that the process was yet to get over. There after within 30 minutes all four child got delivered”.

Although the family is happy with the babies, the husband-wife duo is equally worried about their upbringing. “My husband earns around Rs 7,000 a month and we already have a daughter. It is not about a daughter or a son. We are worried about the financial expenses we have will need to bring up four more children,” Radha said from her bed at the district hospital. ” With our minimal income, it will be extremely difficult for us to raise five children. We are hoping to get some government support,” she added.
