44th Edition of IHGF-Delhi Fair to Open on 12th October at India Expo mart Greater Noida

Greater Noida – 11TH October, 2017 – The IHGF-Delhi fair is one such show that offers optimum sourcing for home, lifestyle, fashion and textiles to overseas buying community all across the globe and is scheduled to open on 12th October, 2017 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The fair has entered into 44th edition this year. On 12th October the fair will be inaugurated by Union Minister Smriti Irani.
The hallmark of five days extravaganza will be having around 2980 exhibitors including permanent marts, 14 product categories, 2000+ products in 1,90,000 sq. mtrs. display area from 12- 16 October, 2017.
The Limca book of world’s records has already recognised the IHGF-Delhi Fair as the world’s largest congregation of handicrafts exhibitors under one roof informed Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director – EPCH.
He further informed that Smriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, Ministry of Textiles will be the Chief Guest to inaugurate the fair on 12th October, 2017 along with other dignitaries.
Backed by a rich heritage of design, inspiration, handcrafting skills and abundance of raw materials products like houseware, gifts, decorative, furniture, garden & outdoor, bathroom accessories, home furnishing, carpets, rugs, floor accessories, lamps & lighting, Christmas & holiday décor, spa and wellness, handmade paper items, educational games, trophies, fashion jewelry and accessories, stationery and gifts and decorative will be on display.
The visitors profile to the show includes overseas buyers from across the globe who are the wholesalers, distributors, chain stores, departmental stores, retailers, mail order companies, brand owners, buying houses and designers and forecasters.

Based on the survey conducted during previous editions of the show, buyers from across the globe prefer to visit to IHGF-Delhi fair due to great products range, attractive prices, different varieties, distinct quality and new product lines said Mr. Kumar.
The five day extravaganza will also witness live demonstration, regional craft, knowledge seminars with many complimentary facilities. During this edition, pavilion of cane and bamboo products from North Eastern region and Jodhpur cluster will also be set up.
Knowledge seminars will be on different and important subjects includes such as investments in handicrafts sector, goods and services tax, necessary compliance for handicrafts sector, neuroscience in marketing, survey from Telangana and trends and forecast 2019.
O.P. Prahladka, Chairman – EPCH elaborated that the quest for seeking something different, unusual and new drives large number of buyers from all over the world to visit IHGF-Delhi fair during each edition and during this edition too buyers visit will be more than the previous years.
The Handicrafts exports during the year 2016-17 was Rs.24,392.39 crores with overall 13.15% increase in comparison to last year. However, the exports of handicrafts during six months of the current financial year 2017-18 is Rs. 12520.32 crores.
