45 people dead due to cyclone Gaja in TN, 2.5 lakh evacuated

At least 45 people have died and about 2.5 lakh evacuated and shifted to relief camps since cyclone Gaja hit the coast of Tamil Nadu. The state government has announced ₹10 lakh for families of the deceased and ₹1 lakh for the severely injured. CM EK Palaniswami is expected to soon visit Delhi to seek Centre’s assistance.
