55-year-old Woman dies after Bull Goes Rogue in Harola

Noida, 18th April 2022: In the Harola village, a rogue bull attacked an elderly woman at the marketplace. According to sources, Mamta, a 55-year-old woman was going towards the market to buy vegetables, when a stray bull attacked her, grievously injuring her.

She slumped as locals raced to rescue her, and the bull attacked her again as they tried to help her. The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to injuries during the treatment. Mamta Sharma is the sole-earning member of her family of three small children and spouse Rajeshwar.

“There has been an increase in the number of stray animals near the village area. We have complained to the authorities several times, yet no action has been taken,” said Ved Pradhan, Gram Vikas Samiti, Harola.

As per reports, this incident has increased the concerns of the residents. Several such incidents have taken place, however, the authorities have done nothing to ensure the safety of the people, stated K. K. Jain,  General Secretary, FONRWA.

District Magistrate, Suhas L. Y. and CMO, Dr Sunil Sharma did not respond to a request for comment at the time of writing this report.
