Techie killed for sharing wrong ATM number, five held

Noida: Twelve days after the body of a Delhi-based software engineer was found on a roadside in Sector 62, Noida, the police arrested five criminals who kidnapped and brutally murdered him. The victim, Shailendra Rohila, had shared a wrong PIN number of his ATM card after he was abducted on gunpoint. It angered the criminals who bludgeoned him to death.The accused have been identified as Azad alias Chini, Wasim, Dilshad, Sonu, Nasir and Ankit – all residents of Dasna in Ghaziabad.

The sixth accused, Ankit, is still absconding.According to police, 35-year-old Rohila was working for Logix Shapers Offshore Services Pvt Ltd in Sector 62, Noida. A resident of Moradabad, he was staying with his family in Pandav Nagar, East Delhi. He used to share a colleague’s cab from office to Model Town crossing and from there hire an auto to reach home.However, on the night of July 23, he did not return home.
